A Common Geography
Coordinated collection, management and dissemination of geospatial data can save time and money for acquiring data and lowers the cost of doing business when maps, and geographic data are required for planning and decision making.  Geographic data and services are used by researchers, planners, environmental professionals, engineers, public health officials. These data serve the information needs of critical issues related to NAFTA such as public health, demographics, environmental impacts, law enforcement & drug interdiction among others.

In addition to maps and data, The Center hosts interactive web-based mapping capabilities featuring vertically integrated and downloadable datasets covering three counties in South Texas. The long term goal of The Center is to develop complete mapping for both sides of the border and to strengthen the ties between Mexico and Texas.
